Very Rare Anna Pottery Salt-Glazed Stoneware Pig Flask with Elberton, GA Advertising, Wallace and Cornwall Kirkpatrick, Anna, IL, 1883, molded pig with incised details to face and hooves, anatomically-correct underside, and spout in rear, incised with the cobalt-highlighted advertising, "J.E. Brown / Dealer in Wines / Liquors and Cigars / Elberton Georgia / 1883." One of a small number of surviving Anna Pottery pig flasks made for the Georgia market, this example features exceptional color and classic, high-styled Kirkpatrick penmanship. Among the finest Anna salt-glazed pig flasks that we have offered, its Southern advertising adding import and regional interest to a beautifully-glazed work. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with minor in-the-firing flaws. L 6 1/2".
