Rare Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar with Stenciled Peach Motif, Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1865-1870, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded wax sealer rim, decorated with a large stenciled design of a peach hanging from a stem with two leaves. The peach motif on this example is crisply executed with strong contrast and significant coverage of the jar's front. Several small chips to shoulder molding. Roughness to inner edge of exterior rim. A few small chips to inner wax sealer rim. H 7".
