Very Rare Small-Sized Presentation Stoneware Butter Crock, Inscribed "Grand-Mamma from Her Good Girl", attributed to the Brown Brothers Pottery, Huntington, Long Island, New York, circa 1880, small-sized, cylindrical form with semi-squared rim, the surface covered in a chocolate-brown Albany slip glaze and incised with the inscription "Grand-mamma From Her Good Girl". Wonderful, sentimental inscription and unusual form for this maker. 2 1/2" hairline from rim on front. One base chip. H 3 1/4" ; Diameter 5 3/4".
