Two New Jersey Stoneware Jugs, late 19th century, a one-gallon example featuring Newark, NJ advertising, stamped "JACOB ZIPF / UNION POTTERY / NEWARK, N.J.; paired with a one-gallon jug with slip-trailed name "T.J. Pruden,". Provenance: Fish Estate, Trenton, NJ. Pruden jug with small spout chips. Entire spout of Newark jug reglued. Additional damage to Newark jug, including reglued section to handle, fry to cobalt, small spout chips, and larger restored spout chips. H (of Pruden jug) 11 1/2".
