Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Large Cobalt Bird Decoration, attributed to Seymour & Bosworth, Hartford, CT, circa 1875, cylindrical jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a bird with detailed breast, wing, and tail, perched on a small, stylized branch. A small spout chip. Minor, in-the-firing wear to spout. Some spots of fry to heavier areas of cobalt.
