One-Gallon S. RISLEY / NORWICH Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, CT origin, circa 1840, ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a flower emanating from wreath-liked brushwork. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark. Tight surface crazing to shoulder, base, underside, and handle. An in-the-firing lime ping below lower handle terminal.
