Three-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jug, attributed to B.F. Landrum, Horse Creek Valley, Edgefield District, SC, circa 1850, ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, the shoulder with three incised slash marks, the surface covered in an attractive green alkaline glaze with iron flecking throughout. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a minuscule nick to spout.
