Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Pitcher, NC origin, late 19th or early 20th century, ovoid pitcher with tooled body and flared collar, decorated around its circumference with stylized cobalt-slip crosses and a vertical foliate design. Cobalt stripe decoration to body and collar. Top of collar decorated with daubs of cobalt. Handle decorated with cobalt stripes. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. Very nice condition with a thin 2 1/8" crack from rim where spout meets collar of pitcher. H 6 3/4".
