One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Leaf Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1870, ovoid pitcher with flared collar and semi-squared rim mold, decorated on the front and sides of the body with a brushed leaf motif. Collar decorated on each side with graduated horizontal swags, and along spout with vertical swags. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Excellent condition with a small, in-the-firing base chip.
