Small-Sized Ovoid Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Decoration, Stamped "C. CROLIUS / NEW-YORK," attributed to Clarkson Crolius, Jr., Manhattan, New York, circa 1820, ovoid jar with tall collar and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed cobalt star design on the front and back. Sides of handles brushed with cobalt. Provenance: Collection of Harry Meyer, McDonald, PA. Professional restoration to one handle. Rim chips. Height 7 1/8".
