Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "N. CLARK JR / ATHENS NY", circa 1840, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, rounded rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a long stem bearing leaves and two tulips. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Excellent condition with a minor nick to inner rim for lid and some small spots of fry to cobalt.
