Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Pitcher with Applied King Gambrinus and Incised Foliate Motifs, attributed to the Wingender Pottery, Haddonfield, NJ, late 19th century, ovoid pitcher with footed base, narrow collar, and semi-rounded rim, the front decorated with a molded and applied design of King Gambrinus raising a cup, flanked by incised foiate motifs. Cobalt highlights to relief and incised decorations, along with cobalt bands below rim, at base of collar, and base of pitcher. Handle with two vertical cobalt stripes and highlights around the terminals. A 1 1/4" flake to underside at edge. A few other smaller base chips. Otherwise excellent condition. H 9 3/4".
