Half-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Butter Crock with Lid, attributed to the Wingender Pottery, Haddonfield, NJ, late 19th century, cylindrical form with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, decorated around the body with a scallop-edged vine motif. Shoulder impressed "1/2". Includes original salt-glazed lid with recessed form and Albany-slip-glazed top. Crock with a few chips to interior of rim. Lid with a 7/8" chip to outer edge and a 7/8" chip to knob.
