Four-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, NY State origin, early 19th century, ovoid jug with footed base, tooled shoulder, and heavily-tooled spout, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a daisy with circular accent to interior, underscored by looping trails. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Base chips. An in-the-firing iron ping to reverse. A spout chip and glazed-over iron ping to spout. Two short, minor in-the-firing lines to base. Some staining to surface.
