One-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jug, Edgefield District, SC, third quarter 19th century, cylindrical jug with semi-squared spout, the surface covered in a glossy olive-green alkaline glaze. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a 7/8" in-the-firing fissure on underside and some in-the-firing clay residue at base.
