Scarce Stoneware "Top Hat" Canning Jar with Albany Slip Glaze, Stenciled "A.P. Donaghho / Parkersburg. W. Va.", circa 1875. tapered jar with tooled shoulder and flattened "wax sealer" rim, featuring diagonal A.P. Donaghho maker's stenciling in cobalt slip, with overlying Albany slip to exterior and interior. An unusual combination of Albany and cobalt slips on a desirable Donaghho form. Excellent condition with some light wear wear to interior of rim. H 5 1/2".
