One-and-a-Half-Gallon Lidded Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, attributed to Fulper Pottery, Flemington, NJ, circa 1880, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a crested bird perched on a leafy branch. Includes matte stoneware lid with Rockingham-glazed top. Crock with several chips to interior of rim, three small chips to exterior of rim, a few small base chip, an in-the-firing contact mark to right side, and staining to surface. Lid with small edge chips.
