Two-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Clover Decoration, Baltimore, MD, circa 1860, ovoid pitcher with semi-rounded rim and tooling to base of collar, the front decorated with an elaborate two-stemmed clover plant design. Spout flanked by cobalt swags. Brushed cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Tight cracks to underside, extending onto base. A tight horizontal line through handle. A small in-the-firing chip to handle. Crazing to collar, visible on exterior and interior.
