Three-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Stenciled Eagle Decoration and Colchester, CT Advertising, Northeastern U.S. origin, circa 1875, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a large stenciled design of a spread-winged eagle and impressed with the advertising, "C. & C.F. BROWN / COLCHESTER, CONN." A chip nd minor nick to interior of rim. A 3 1/4" line from rim. Some sticky residue to surface.
