Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "N.A. WHITE & CO. BINGHAMTON", New York State origin, circa 1870, cylindrical jug with tooled spout, decorated with a large slip-trailed design of a flowering plant featuring several stems and a circular blossom with spotted interior. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Two faint horizontal lines at base, probably in-the-firing. Two short, vertical in-the-firing lines at base. Some shallow chipping to interior of spout. Some mottling to surface. A minor surface flake to shoulder.
