Glazed Redware Canning Jar, Stamped "JOHN BELL", Waynesboro, PA origin, circa 1840-1880, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and narrow opening with recessed rim to hold a lid, the surface covered in a clear lead glaze over a yellow clay ground. Impressed "JOHN BELL" near shoulder. Provenance: From a Virginia estate. Wear to rim and inner rim. Some light staining to surface. H 7 3/4".
