Two Greensboro, PA Stoneware Canning Jars with Cobalt Decoration, circa 1875, both of cylindrical form, one stenciled "J. HAMILTON & Co. / GREENSBORO. PA", the other stenciled "HAMILTON / & / JONES. / GREENSBORO. / PA.". Provenance: Collection of Lorren Lambert, Staunton, VA. Hamilton jar with chips to rim and inner wax sealer rim, as well as a minor base chip. Hamilton & Jones jar with two very shallow rim chips and a faint, approximately 3/4" hairline from rim. H (of shorter jar) 6 3/8".
