Fine Stoneware Canning Jar with Stenciled and Freehand Cobalt Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim with "wax sealer" interior, the front heavily-decorated with a large stenciled flourish along with straight and wavy freehand stripes above and below. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 8 1/4".
