Glazed Redware Mug, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'", PA origin, circa 1850-1880, cylindrical mug with footed base and ribbed strap handle, the surface covered in a light yellowish-slip over orange clay and profusely-decorated with manganese sponging. Underside impressed with John Bell maker's mark. A few small filled and colored rim nicks. Two small colored flakes to shoulder. A few additional colored flakes to interior. H 4".
