Rare One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "F. STETZENMEYER / ROCHESTER, NY", circa 1850, ovoid pitcher with tall collar featuring a tapered rim and tooling at its base, the front decorated with a slip-trailed design of a flowering plant featuring heavily-shaded leaves. Wavy cobalt line decoration to spout. Several rim chips. Wear to spout. A 1" line on underside, continuing 3" up reverse. Some very light exfoliation to spout area. H 12".
