Two Pieces of Scarce Shenandoah Valley Stoneware, Stamped "MILLER & FLEET / STRASBURG, VA.", circa 1882, a rare quart-sized jug with tooled spout, paired with a one-gallon cylindrical jar with cobalt swag decoration, both bearing Miller & Fleet maker's marks. Jug with some in-the-firing discoloration to one side, a tight horizontal hairline through base of handle, and a tiny base nick. Jar with small rim chips and a large area of in-the-firing grittiness and discoloration to one side, which includes a 3/4" firing flaw near shoulder. H (of jug) 7 3/4".
