Unusual Three-Gallon Stoneware Molded Water Cooler with Lid, Impressed "CLAM BROTH", attributed to the Robinson Clay Products Co., Akron, OH, late 19th century, barrel-form cooler with Bristol-slip-glazed surface and relief cobalt floral decoration, the front impressed with the cobalt-highlighted words, "CLAM BROTH", surrounded by a relief cartouche. Includes metal spigot and original molded lid with relief, cobalt-highlighted floral decoration. Cooler in excellent condition with some brownish, in-the-firing residue to surface and an in-the-firing chip to underside at edge of base. Lid with chips and a 3" reglued piece. H (including lid) 16 1/4".
