Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Presentation Pitcher, Inscribed "Ch. Bessy / 1898", attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA, 1898, ovoid pitcher with Bristol-slip-glazed surface, footed base, and tall, narrow collar, decorated with incised and cobalt-highlighted floral designs flanking the inscription, "Ch. Bessy / 1898". Collar decorated with a coggled circle design, highlighted in cobalt slip. Excellent condition with a 7/8" line on top edge of rim and a minor rim nick.
