Three-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jug, Stamped "JFS", James Franklin Seagle, Vale, Lincoln County, NC, third quarter 19th century, highly-ovoid jug with tooled spout, the surface covered in a streaky, olive-green alkaline glaze. Excellent, essentially as-made condition.
