Two-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jug, Stamped "D S", Daniel Seagle, Vale, Lincoln County, NC origin, circa 1840, ovoid jug with tooled spout and ribbed handle, the surface covered in a streaky olive-green alkaline glaze. A tight Y-shaped line on underside. Additional vertical lines to base area. H 14 1/2".
