Two William Macquoid, New York, New York Stoneware Jars, circa 1870, both of similar cylindrical form with two-stemmed cobalt floral motifs, a two-gallon example, stamped "POTTERY WORKS / LITTLE WST 12TH ST. N.Y." and a one-and-a-half-gallon example, stamped "WM-A' MACQUOID & CO / NEW YORK. / LITTLE WST 12TH ST.". Two-gallon jar with rim chips, including a 2" chip to front of rim, chips to one handle, several tight surface cracks, and an iron ping under one handle. Other jar with staining to surface, two chips to one handle, shallow chipping to opposite handle along with a thin crack from rim above same handle, some exfoliation to base area on reverse.
