One-and-a-Half-Gallon Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar, Southern U.S. origin, second half 19th century, cylindrical jar with tapered shoulder, flared collar, the surface embellished with incised lines and wavy combing, covered in a dark alkaline glaze. Incised "1 1/2" on shoulder. Shallow rim chips. Otherwise excellent condition. H 12".
