"FISH PACKERS" Stoneware Advertising Crock, attributed to the Whites Pottery, Utica, NY, late 19th century, cylindrical crock with Bristol slip glaze, featuring the impressed and cobalt-highlighted advertising, "S. SCHMIDT & CO. / FISH PACKERS / 148, 150 AND 152 WEST 19TH ST. / NEW YORK." Advertising is surrounded by four medallions with human and fish motifs. Provenance: Robert Meltzer Collection. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 5 1/2".
