Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jug with Combed Decoration, Sand Mountain, AL origin, fourth quarter 19th century, squat-shaped jug with incised line embellishments, the shoulder and base decorated with a band of wavy incised combing. Surface covered in a mottled brown alkaline glaze. Provenance: Dr. Raymond L. Owen Collection. Light wear to surface. A 1 1/4" base chip. H 8".
