Two-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Clover Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1870, ovoid pitcher with footed base and rounded rim molding, the front decorated with a two-stemmed clover plant. Additional clover decoration to collar. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. An in-the-firing matte drip to front. A 3" crack from rim on side of pitcher. Long, tight lines to side and reverse. Surface crazing to front, primarily at base. A small piece of adhered clay to handle.
