Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "NORTON & FENTON / East Bennington, VT", circa 1845, highly-ovoid jug with squared spout, decorated with an artistic brushed design of drooping flowers with spotted interiors. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Very nice overall condition. Two in-the-firing contact marks to reverse and other minor in-the-firing flaws. Some staining.
