Rare Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Presentation Pitcher and Mug Set, Inscribed "Wm. E. Stone / 1896", atrributed to the Wingender or Remmey Potteries, Haddonfield, NJ or Philadelphia, PA origin, 1896, ovoid pitcher with footed base and coggled collar, featuring the incised inscription, "Wm. E. Stone 1896", flanked by incised floral designs. Cobalt highlights throughout. Set includes four cobalt-banded mugs, each also inscribed "Wm. E. Stone". Pitcher with small chips to spout and two small rim chips. A rim chip and large base chip to one mug. A rim chip to another mug. Two other mugs in excellent condition. H (of pitcher) 10 1/2" ; H (of mugs) approx. 4 1/2".
