Rare and Fine Stoneware Bank with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1875, ovoid bank with bell-shaped finial, footed base and unusual stepped shoulder above a carved horizontal slot. Front decorated with two brushed tulips emanating from a stripe at the base, reverse with a brushed foliate motif, and shoulder moldings with profuse swag decorations. Cobalt highlight to finial. Very nice condition with a shallow chip and nick to slot, a few very minor nicks to shoulder moldings, and wear to tip of finial. H 5 3/4".
