Very Rare One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Profuse Cobalt Maker's Stenciling, A.P. Donaghho, Parkersburg, WV, circa 1875, semi-ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and flattened rim, decorated completely around its circumference with the stenciled signatures, "A.P. Donaghho, / Parkersburg, W. Va.". Three stenciled Donaghho signatures appear in a diagonal pattern while two run vertically down the body of the jar. This jar is the first example decorated in this manner that we have offered. Excellent condition with some minor wear to surface. H 9 3/4".
