Large-Sized Redware Bowl with Two-Color Slip Decoration, Hagerstown, MD origin, early 19th century, tapered bowl with triple-beaded rim and applied handles, decorated on the interior with alternating wavy and straight trails of manganese and copper slip under a clear lead glaze. Significant restoration, including a long restored crack, restoration to one handle, restoration to interior shoulder area, and some restoration to surface on reverse. Additional wear to interior and rim, some exfoliation to exterior, and a small chip to restored handle. H 5" ; Diameter 13 1/2".
