Two Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, Pennsylvania origin, circa 1875, a quart-sized cylindrical jar with cobalt alternating leaf decoration, attributed to the Remmey Pottery, Philadelphia, PA; paired with a canning jar with cobalt stripe decoration, Western PA origin. Remmey jar with smooth, glazed-over base chip, a minor base nick, and a bloated spot to underside. Western PA jar with old residue to rim area and a shallow chip to top of rim. H (of Western PA jar) 6".
