Rare Miniature Glazed Redware Bowl, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'", circa 1850-1880, with ovoid body, footed base, and semi-rounded rim, decorated with reddish-brown manganese sponging and covered in a clear lead glaze over a yellow clay ground. Impressed with John Bell maker's mark on underside. Exemplary condition, exceptional size, and strong color. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 2 1/2" ; W 4 5/8".
