Rare Miniature Glazed Redware Pitcher with Spurred Handle, Stamped "JOHN BELL", Waynesboro, PA origin, circa 1840-1880, ovoid pitcher with tooled body and spurred handle, decorated with heavy manganese sponging and covered in a clear lead glaze over a bright orange ground. Underside impressed with John Bell maker's mark. Exceptional size and desirable form. Excellent condition with wear to rim and thumb rest. Some blackish residue at base. H 4 3/8".
