Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "LYONS", Thompson Harrington, Lyons, New York, circa 1860, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, flared rim, and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed design of a tulip plant bearing three blossoms. Two brushed number 2's at shoulder. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals. A shallow 7/8" chip to interior of rim. A chip and some wear to inner rim where a lid would rest. A small shallow base chip.
