One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "B.C. MILBURN", Alexandria, VA, circa 1850, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, decorated with a brushed cobalt flowering plant design, including a circular blossom surrounding the maker's mark. Reverse and sides with four hanging leaves around the shoulder. A few small chips to underside at edge. Two small, shallow chips to top edge of rim, as well as a small in-the-firing chip to interior of rim.
