Rare and Fine Lead-and-Manganese-Glazed Redware Pitcher, Stamped "JOHN BELL", PA origin, circa 1850-1880, elegantly-potted pitcher with footed base, tall narrow collar with upswept spout, and high-arching strap handle with thumbrest. Surface decorated with sponged, reddish-brown manganese over a bright-orange clay ground and covered in a clear lead glaze. Underside impressed "JOHN BELL". Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 6 1/4".
