Three-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Elaborate Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD, circa 1835, ovoid jar with flared rim and applied tab handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a vertical tulip below a swag and hanging tulip motif. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Cobalt swag decoration under each handle. A 9 1/2" crack from rim. Two rim chips and a minor rim nick. A 2 3/4" Y-shaped line on one side. Minor base chips.
