Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stamped "GOODWIN & WEBSTER", Hartford, CT origin, early 19th century, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and applied lug handles, decorated with brushed cobalt highlights over the maker's mark and handle terminals. Staining to surface. Minor chipping to base, most of which is glazed over. A 3 1/2" in-the-firing line on interior of rim, not visible on exterior. A few minor, typical in-the-firing contact marks to surface.
