Rare One-Pint Stoneware Jug with Iron-Oxide Decoration, Stamped "CHARLESTOWN", Frederick Carpenter, Charlestown, MA, circa 1815, small-sized, ovoid jug with ribbed handle and dipped reddish-brown, iron-oxide decoration, impressed "CHARLESTOWN" across the shoulder. Exceptional size. Three in-the-firing base chips, the longest measuring 1 1/4". Kiln residue on underside. A small in-the-firing chip to shoulder. H 7 1/2".
