Stoneware Jar with Coggled Floral Decoration, Stamped "PAUL : CUSHMANS", Albany, NY origin, early 19th century, approximately three-quart or one-gallon jar with squat form, including a footed base, tooled shoulder, and applied lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse shoulder with a coggled vine bearing tulips. Midsection impressed with the large coggled signature of Albany, New York pottery owner, Paul Cushman. Excellent size and form. 2 1/2" area of smooth chips to reverse, which occurred in the firing. Three minor base chips. Three minor rim chips. H 7".
